The Belfast Burlesque School is a collaboration between local burlesque artists Rita Peach and Maiya Moo, offering a mix of burlesque classes, prop technique classes, and specialty workshops led by local talent and international headliners—sharing skills, stagecraft, and real-world insight from across the scene.

Whether you’re brand new to burlesque, a first-time flirt, or a seasoned showgirl looking to refine your skills, classes are designed to build confidence, spark creativity, and foster a sense of community.

Classes are held at various locations across Belfast.

Rita Peach is a burlesque performer and producer, feather fan dancer, and co-founder of the Belfast Burlesque School. Known for her vintage glamour and playful charm, she’s been a resident showgirl at Belfast’s Cabaret Supper Club since 2020 and a regular on stages across Northern Ireland since 2018.

A doctor in a past life, Rita swapped her stethoscope for sequins after taking her first burlesque class in 2017—and never looked back. She now produces The Maiden City Tease in Derry and co-produces the craic-fuelled Belfast Burlesque Brunch with Maiya Moo.

Over the past few years, Rita has been regularly teaching burlesque and feather fan dancing, sharing her passion and stagecraft with students across the country. Through the Belfast Burlesque School, she teaches with sass, sparkle, and heart—empowering students of all genders to embrace their sensuality, build confidence, and strut into their spotlight.

Maiya Moo is a dynamic burlesque performer, producer, and co-founder of the Belfast Burlesque School. Blending classic tease with a fearless edge, her background in circus and sideshow brings a bold, unforgettable twist to the stage.

Touring across the UK, Ireland, and Europe, Maiya has become a standout name in alternative cabaret. A producing powerhouse, she produces Sin City Cabaret, the Belfast Burlesque Festival, and Hellfast, as well as many other shows across the island, and has been integral in providing performing opportunities in the local scene. Whether she’s breathing fire or peeling with precision, Maiya celebrates the weird, the wild, and the wonderfully empowering.

At the Belfast Burlesque School, Maiya will be teaching Burlesque Performance workshops, as well as workshops that draw from her circus roots. She’ll also be curating an exciting programme of guest workshops featuring international headliners—bringing world-class talent to Belfast’s growing burlesque community.
